On June 1st, Forbes Media and Statista gave The Barrett Group a two-sided honor.

On June 1st, Forbes Media and Statista gave The Barrett Group a two-sided honor. They recognized The Barrett Group as one of America’s Best Recruiting Firms 2020 in the Executive Search category. This is a great honor. Of the thousands of firms nationwide considered, only the top 200 executive search firms specialized in filling positions with salaries of at least $100,000 received this ranking!

The Barrett Group’s ranking on this year’s award list is directly related to the results of Forbes Media and Statista’s annual online survey of recruiting firms nationwide. Participants included industry peers and clients. They were asked to recommend recruiting firms they have worked with or would recommend from an industry insider’s perspective.

So, the ‘Best Recruiting Firms’ title reinforces our reputation as a company that provides excellent guidance to its clients.

We are extremely honored.

However, and this is the other side of this honor, it shows that there is a misconception in the market about The Barrett Group. We are not a ‘recruiting firm’ per se… The Barrett Group is an executive career management firm.

We help our clients:

  • Define their desired career;
  • Coach them in uncovering appropriate but mostly ‘hidden’ opportunities in the unpublished job market;
  • Prepare them for interviews and offer negotiations; and,
  • Support them during their time of onboarding at their new company and in adjusting to their new role.
In short, we provide the tools our clients need to land their next job faster.

Nevertheless, being nominated for and receiving the Forbes America’s Best Recruiting Firms 2020 Recognition based on being recommended by peers and clients is an achievement that we are thankful for… even though we don’t consider ourselves a ‘recruiting firm.’
