As a serial entrepreneur I live by the mantra, "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary". Larry DiBoni led my engagement and he consistently put TBG resources in play that performed as a force-multiplier for the work we needed to accomplish. It would have been difficult to impossible for me to achieve the scale and speed which Larry's team achieved. His industry knowledge and expertise also helped me discover and evaluate critical variables in my search (location, opportunity, industry, position) that I most likely would have overlooked. I was 36 years old with an advanced degree, 10 years experience at my first job and unsatisfied with my career. The challenge I was seeking was not attainable within my options. Realizing that it was not the company but the industry, I took a calculated risk and started my own venture.

After getting the base company organized I came to the realization that I took a big plunge and did not have sufficient resources to follow through with this ambitious challenge. I had no interest in returning to my old industry but I did not have the right network of contacts to help me fully explore other options. I realized I needed professional help. After several phone interviews I decided to enlist the services of The Barrett Group to help pave my way towards a challenging career.

Over the course of several weeks they got to know me, they assessed my personality and determined my needs. They built a strategy based on my profile and coached me on how to approach a new industry while keeping competitive with my background, skills, and requirements.

After a short time reaching out, my calls started getting through, my letters were being answered, and the opportunities I was reaching out for were becoming tangible. When the day came to get the job offer that I wanted, it played out like a cheesy eharmony.com commercial. I had a good solid technical sales background, but when the tech crash happened I decided to make a change that moved me and my family to Montana. After a couple years I was back in a position where I wanted to re-enter the world of hi tech sales but not leave Montana if at all possible. A unique situation for sure.
